New Marketing Manager - Engineering Sales at Bassoe Technology
As of January 2017 Mr. Kjell Vågfelt has been appointed as Marketing Managing Engineering Sales at Bassoe Technology.
Kjell is a naval architect from Chalmers in 1981 with a lic. degree in marine engineering in 1986. He comes from the GVA structural department where he was director for nine years. Kjell is a specialist in dynamics, noise and vibration, and has previously worked for ÅF and DNV.

New Managing Director at Bassoe Technology
As of November 17 Mr. Acke Dahlman has been appointed as acting Managing Director of Bassoe Technology, thus replacing Helge Larsen who will now retire. Acke was one of the founders when Bassoe Technology was started back in 2007 and has been part of the management in his previous roles as VP Technology and lately Vice President/COO.
BT wishes Helge the best of luck as pensioner and thank him for his dedicated work to establish Bassoe Technology as a trusted and well renowned company in the offshore industry.

Contract Signed with Saudi Aramco
Bassoe Technology AB has signed a long term contract with Aramco Overseas Company BV which will act as a framework agreement for future marine projects support and work orders.
As part of Aramco’s continuous work to keep the company’s fleet up to date, the need for various new state-of-the-art vessels has been identified. Therefore and throughout the upcoming year, Bassoe Technology AB will be providing the necessary technical and project expertise to procure these different vessels based on Aramco specified requirements and needs, preparing technical specifications and evaluating the different proven designs available in the market.
BT-5000 - Contract signed for New Generation Midwater Semi-Submersible BT-5000
Bassoe Technology has been contracted by CIMC Raffles for Basic Design of the new BT-5000 midwater drilling semi developed by Bassoe Technology together with CIMC OEI (Offshore Engineering Institute) during 2014.
CIMC Raffles has placed the order in anticipation of the rising market demand for replacing the aging fleet of midwater drilling units. In the same time, the BT-5000 takes the development further by offering a drilling tool for the UK North Sea and other areas with excellent motion characteristics and an arrangement that allows for a fast change over between different modes of operation, ensuring maximal operational efficiency. Together with higher cost efficiency and safety levels, the BT-5000 is earmarked to be CIMC Offshores next strategic semi-submersible product.

BT-3500 - BassDrill Beta MEP in place on Petrobras P61 TLWP
The BassDrill Beta has now succesfully installed its Mast Equipment Package onto the Petrobras P61 TLWP.
House-warming party at Östra Hamngatan 17

BT-HTB - Atlantica Gamma successfully undocked
The Bassoe Technology designed heavy tender barge Atlantica Gamma was successfully undocked at DSIC, Dalian, China on May 20. The Atlantica Gamma will be delivered later this year.
BT-3500 - Atlantica Delta keel laying at DSIC
On April 28, four days ahead of plan, the keel laying ceremony for Atlantica Delta was held at DSIC. Bassoe Technology is providing the basic design for the yard and owner Atlantica Tender Drilling.

Bassoe Technology joins CIMC
We are pleased to announce that CIMC Offshore, a subsidiary of the Hong Kong and Shenzhen listed shipping and logistic group, China International Marine Containers Group (CIMC) has acquired 90 percent ownership of Bassoe Technology AB. Mr. Erland P. Bassoe – the founder of the Bassoe Group – will retain a 10 percent ownership share and remain as a board member of the company.
Bassoe Technology will continue to strengthen its capabilities in concept development and basic design of advanced offshore floating and mobile units, but now with even larger resources and wider perspectives than before.
Bassoe Technology will retain its name and continue to operate as an independent design company, with the management team unchanged. We remain committed to provide our existing and prospective clients with first-class design and engineering solutions.

BT-3500TSV - BassDrill Beta leaves DSIC yard in Dalian for its trip to Brazil
BassDrill Beta Tender drilling Support Vessel designed by Bassoe Technology for owner Atlantica Tender Drilling has left DSIC offshore yard on heavy lift transport vessel Tai An Kou. The semi will operate on the Papa Terra field development for Petrobras. Bon voyage!

BT-HTB - BassDrill Gamma Keel Laying at DSIC
On 26 of September 2013, it was keel laying ceremony for the Bassoe Technology latest design, HTB-1 BassDrill Gamma, at DSIC shipyard in Dalian, China. The successful keel laying was performed 25 days before the planned date.
BT-3500TSV - BassDrill Beta is now afloat
The Bassoe Technology design tender drilling assist semi-submersible was successfully floated out from DSIC, Dalian, China on the 16 April 2013.
The semi will be delivered to Petrobras for operation on their Papa Terra development later this year.
