Stability Analysis Engineer

Bassoe Technology is now looking for a Stability Analysis Engineer to strengthen our team. We are broadening our design portfolio and naval architecture is a key competence for development of our concepts.

The primary responsibility of the Stability Analysis Engineer is to plan, perform, execute, or lead stability analyses of offshore structures and ships. These include wind foundations, semi-submersibles, FPSOs, drill ships, Ropax ferries etc.

As a Stability Analysis Engineer you:

  • Are active in concept development phase for new floating units.
  • Are responsible for maintaining analysis tools and software.
  • Develop analysis methodology and quality assurance routines.
  • Follow latest developments within rules and regulations.
  • Perform naval architectural analyses with documentation, e.g. stability analysis, weight control activities, client and class reports and drawings for our floating units.
  • Participate and evaluate inclining and model tests.

Requirements for this position:

  • You are a team player that can work effectively in projects, you want to collaborate and are interested in the other various disciplines within Bassoe Technology.
  • You are communicative, have a positive attitude and you are pragmatic.
  • M.Sc. degree in naval architecture, civil engineering or mechanical engineering.
  • Strong theoretical knowledge and preferably programming skills.
  • Three+ years working experience within stability analysis in offshore related projects,
  • shorter working experience can be compensated by a proactive attitude.
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in English and Swedish.
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations from classification societies (DNV, ABS etc), flag states and coast government authorities are not a requirement but preferable.
  • Experience in working with NAPA, Autoship system, Shipweight etc. is not a requirement but preferable. We expect you to be familiar with AutoCAD.
