Marine Systems Engineer

Bassoe Technology is now looking for a Senior Marine System Engineer to strengthen our team in Gothenburg.

As a part of the team, the Marine System Engineer performs design of marine systems for floating offshore structures, such as semi-submersibles platforms and ship shaped units, both within the Oil & Gas sector but also for renewable sector.

As a Marine System Engineer you:

• Execute project tasks in the area of marine system design according to classification rules and standards.
• Are responsible for documentation of the performed work.
• Develop system descriptions, specifications and process diagrams.
• Carry out analysis, capacity calculations and dimensioning of systems.
• Are a candidate for temporary project positions, such as Discipline Lead or Project Manager.
• Communicate with other disciplines and build and maintain good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements for this position:

• M Sc Degree in relevant discipline Naval Architecture, Mechanical or similar.
• 5-10 years’ or more of experience in marine system design.
• Practical experience of marine systems is a merit.
• Knowledge in AutoCad .
• Knowledge about ship and offshore rules of the DNV and ABS classification societies.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.Fluent oral and written communication skills in English is required.
• Additional language skills is an advantage.

The organization is slim, and the workdays are varied with several projects going on in parallel, often with quick start-ups and short lead times.
